Sit and concentrate during quiet times. Tend to new experiences and allow your brain to evolve enough to efficiently separate the useful from the useless. We must adapt if we want to be productive and present (in the moment).
Resolve to improve matters and get your focus back. Figure out what part of the day/eve that you operate best, for example, are you a morning or night person? Work around your optimal hours in a quiet place and limit some areas to do the work needed during these times periods; unplug and get focused.
If you get up and look engaged vs. bored, you will feel more engaged. Take notes, actively listen, etc. The act of putting pen to paper forces you to be somewhat focused. Being/Becoming conscious about your intent will prevent mind wandering. Come up with questions designed to challenge you and to keep you focused/on your toes.
