Life is the essence of radiance, energy, and light--it is beautiful inside and out. Energy is neither created nor destroyed, only transferred...exercise and good nutrition work at the cellular level and can drive a change in behavior and transform the body~transformation is from within.
When we exercise, we add groups of atoms called methyl groups (one carbon atom bonded with three hydrogen atoms) to the outside portions of our genes, which alters what our genes does.
Mitochondria are organelles that turn food into energy and make up 1/2 of the cell and damage contributes to aging and slowing down our body's processes. Exercise increases the number of mitochondria per cell and is effective in burning fat.
Note: strength training lowers the risk of insulin resistance, helping to prevent/slow down the onset of diabetes
Telomeres are the key too aging. If you can make them longer and stronger, you have a longer and healthier life span; shorter telomeres are linked to increased cancer.
